Radiological procedures play an important role in the diagnostics and treatment of many diseases. The Berlin Jewish Hospital is affiliated to a specialized joint radiological practice. Here our patients are provided with state-of-the-art examination equipment which is used to carry out gentle and minimally invasive treatments, in addition to diagnostics.

State-of-the-art radiological examination procedures specifically include 3T high-field magnetic resonance tomography (MRI), also referred to as magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), multislice computed tomography (CT) with radiation dose reduction and digital angiography. The images generated with these devices form the basis for detailed diagnosis and successful treatment. The main focus areas of radiology are neurological diagnostics, vascular interventions and imaging of the heart with MRT and CT.

All types of circulatory disorders are treated with minimally invasive treatments of the blood vessels. These also include balloon dilatation and stent implantation. Up to now only a few institutions in Germany treat severe forms of high blood pressure with “renal denervation”. For quite some time this special treatment type has been successfully carried out in our hospital by means of a catheter.

Here is an overview of the available examination devices and methods:

  • Digital X-Rays
  • Radioscopy
  • Computed tomography (CT) with radiation dose reduction
  • High-field magnetic resonance tomography (MRT)
