Clinic for Orthopaedics and Trauma Surgery
Well cared for, from the emergency right up to surgeryThe Berlin Jewish Hospital has a large Clinic for Orthopaedics and Trauma Surgery and was therefore declared an Emergency Hospital in the state hospital plan of the Berlin senate. Moreover, the Berlin Jewish Hospital is connected to Charité – the Berlin University Medical Hospital – as a teaching hospital. The range of surgery covers interventions in the field of trauma, reconstructive and orthopaedic surgery, endoprosthetics of the large and small joints, hand and foot surgery as well as sports medicine. Minimally invasive surgery with gentle processes has already become firmly established in our Clinic in the form of minimally invasive abdominal surgery (MIC), the arthroscopy centre for the treatment of joint diseases and injuries as well as minimally invasive procedures in joint arthroplasty. Our three new operating rooms are excellently equipped in accordance with today’s standards.
The surgical team is led by the chief physician Dr. Saleem Hefni and three qualified senior physicians. The specialized chief physicians are allocated to the individual sub-specializations as designated contact persons within the Clinic.
Surgical treatment is based on the newest scientific findings, guidelines and standards in modern medicine. These are adapted to suit internal and external demands according to developments within the context of quality management and sustainably improve the quality of the treatments.
